Ο κ. Ι. Λεγάκης είναι ιατρός ενδοκρινολόγος, διδάκτωρ αριστούχος του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών με μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές και σπουδές στο Πανεπιστήμιο του Maryland και του εθνικού συστήματος υγείας των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών της Αμερικής.

Dr I. Legakis is an endocrinologist, with a p.h.D/doctorate(grade-Excellent) from the University of Athens with postgraduate studies and studies at the University of Maryland and National institutes of Health in United states of America.
He has been elected as an Associate Professor in the Hellenic Mediterranean University , working in parallel as a scientific collaborator at the IASO General Hospital. He is also a scientific associate of the 3rd Pathology Clinic of the University of Athens, of the Research Applied Endocrinology Branch of the University of Athens and a scientific associate at the School of Health Professions at the University of West Attica, Athens. In addition, he is an adjacent professor for postgraduate students in the course ‘Diabetes mellitus’ at the Hellenic Open University in Greece.
For the last 7 years up to now, he has been teaching clinical anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, clinical skills and general therapeutics in the Medical and Dental Department of the European University of Cyprus in Nicosia.
He has a rich educational, clinical and research work, as well as writing work and publications in Greek and foreign language magazines.
He also has a rich organizational and administrative work and during his more than ten years of service at the “Henry Dunan” hospital ,whereas he participated in the organization of the services of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism.
Dr I. Legakis is a member of scientific medical societies, has organized scientific conferences and has published many articles in print and electronic media.
